We are a 2 Slave 2 Dachshund family. Based in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear, we are very aware of the struggle to leave our babies in kennels with people we don't know.
How can we enjoy a family holiday or a cheeky weekend away, if we are constantly worrying about our little pooches?
Well, we have the solution, home boarding with The Dacsy Shack. Your little slinky will become part of our family for the duration of your holiday. We have safe and secure front and rear gardens and plenty of room for your little Weiner to play - of course only when the weather is up to their high standards.
We are both canine 1st aid level 3 qualified so your little sausages are in safe hands. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding home boarding and day care for your little 4 legged friends, to ensure that all of our clients are 100% satisfied.

Boarding and Day Care Price List
We reserve the right to change the following prices without notice. Stays already booked will be honoured at the booking price.
Prices from January 2025
Boarding (Per Day) £40.00
Day Care (7am-5pm) £30.00 (up to 8 hours)
Extended Day is available for an additional fee.
Trial Night (5pm to 9am next day) £40.00
Additional Dogs (same household & discounts apply to boarding only)
Boarding (per day) + £35.00 per additional dog.
Additional Services:
Late pick up fee will be charged at £6.50 per hour (or part thereof).
Wedding chaperone priced per request depending on availability.
Pick up/ Drop off service priced depending on availability.
Emergency Boarding/Daycare priced per request depending on availability.
Public/Bank holidays - additional charges may apply. These include Easter, Spring and
Summer bank holidays, Christmas and New Year.
Trial Night Stay
One chargeable overnight stay is a must before booking 1st full holiday. This allows your little slinky to see how they settle into a new environment. Owners must be available for collection if the visit needs to come to an end.
The visit starts from 5pm to 9am next day. Later collection is available for an additional fee.
No booking will be taken until the trial night has been completed.
Please note we reserve the right to refuse any future stays should the trial night prove to be unsuitable for your dog or us.
Full feedback will be given if the trial night is not successful.
